ALASKA FISHING TRIPS

Owners Dennis Meier, Susan Meier, Jim Benton and Christy Benton have earned reputations as Alaska’s best fishing lodge operators by focusing on how to best satisfy their clients’ demands and desires for a quality Alaska vacation package. They leave nothing to chance (except the weather!), by hiring the best fishing lodge and guiding staff, purchasing and maintaining the best fishing equipment, and creating a unique lodge atmosphere that makes each guest feel special and valued. Spending time at the lodge here in Elfin Cove, Alaska is the best way we can think of to unplug from the grid, relax, and enjoy being so close to nature with friends and family.

After all, according to co-owner Dennis Meier: “Our customers comfort and fishing success is our single minded focus!” With several members of Dennis’ family working at the lodge each summer, including Hannah and Hayden Meier as our lodge hosts, while Hayden also serves as one of our captains, Tanaku Lodge is truly a family fishing business like no other lodges in Alaska can claim. Not only is Tanaku Lodge family owned and operated, but we make our guests feel like family too. We love hosting new people, but also seeing long time Tanaku enthusiasts and fishers return year after year, and we are extremely grateful for the relationships we’ve made with so many of our customers who are now life-long friends of ours.

All our captains and fishing crew members are also like family to us, and you’ll see that within just hours of arriving at Tanaku Lodge and meeting them. We all are here at Tanaku Lodge because we love it here and love working together each year: in fact, we’d claim it’s hard to find a better place to work and fish anywhere in Alaska! We can’t wait to bring you on one of our beautiful fishing vessels and set off to adventure and excellent fishing.

ALASKA FISHING PACKAGES

When you stay with us for a fishing trip, we treat you like family and do everything we can to make your Alaskan experience the best it can possibly be, no matter whether you’re fishing for salmon, halibut or rockfish. Our captains are the best in their field with decades of fishing experience and detailed knowledge of the Elfin Cove area.

Not only can we get you to the best fishing spots in our area of Alaska, but we’ll also you show beautiful vistas, tucked away areas where wildlife flourishes, and maybe even a whale breaching just yards away from the boat if you’re very lucky! While the fishing may be the draw for many to come to Elfin Cove, the natural beauty of this area’s flora and fauna is unbeatable. We also offer river and fly fishing in certain months of the year, and would love to guide and hike with you to the best spots to catch salmon as they make their way back to their spawning grounds, or other freshwater Alaskan fish like steelheads.

Co-owner, Dennis Meier, states this about his approach to managing an Alaska lodge catering to family and corporate groups, ranging in size from 4 to 25 anglers per group. “Paying close attention to important details makes the difference between delivering either a passable or a great trip. We want all of our valued guests to leave very happy and hopefully they will keep Tanaku in their future Alaska adventure plans! That’s our goal and we enjoy working hard to accomplish it! It’s what we refer to as ‘The Tanaku Difference’.” We’d love to host your family, friend group or corporate team for a fishing adventure that you won’t soon forget.
